Celebrating 20 Years of Independence of Armenia
Master musician Trilok Gurtu connects with the blazing trail of Armenian Pianist -
Tigran Hamasyan
They met in Paris this March when Tigran’s Verve album launch took place at the historic Theatre du Chatelet, packed with 1700 fans. Such was the success that Montreux Jazz Festival immediately booked them and now they arrive in London for an exclusive concert at Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Tigran's record release “A Fable” on Verve, shot to No. 1 in the jazz charts. It is a dynamic solo piano collection, with lyrical songs that range from gracefully refined pieces to energetic experiments as Tigran finds inspiration from traditional Armenian folk melodies as well as poetry.
“A Fable” is released in the UK to coincide with the Queen Elizabeth Hall concert.
